Dear All:
Good morning from Canada!! I hope this finds you and yours well. As for me I could complain...yadda, yadda, yadda.
For openers, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Indy, and I'm from London, Ontario, Canada. For those of you don't know where that is exactly, go to Google Earth and find Toronto and head southwest. I'm the city between Toronto and Windsor.
Speaking of Google Earth, I ADORE this program!!! I never knew it existed until a fellow fan fiction writer told me about it. Microsoft has something like it, but it's a pale copy of Google Earth. This program is like having a "living" atlas!!!
I stumbled across your site when I was looking up info on the Statue of Liberty to see what was on the Island besides her. I'm playing a game called Tycoon City--New York, and I was comparing the game's Liberty Island to the real thing. The game version stacks up.
Anyway, I downloaded your 3D Lady Liberty, and it was the easiest download I've ever did. I hate to nitpick, but isn't she supposed to be green? As we all know, copper does oxidize and turn green due to the elements.
Very excellent file. My compliments to the creator and to the creators of the other files I was drooling over, including the Sphinx, the Pyramids at Giza and the Moai of Easter Island. Excellent work on all those.
We now get to my problem, and it's with the above landmark. I downloaded it just like I did with Lady Liberty, but when Google Earth came up, I found the Arch encased in this grey rectangle that looks like a skinnier version of the UN headquarters in New York. Yet, I can only see the top of the Arch and hardly anything else.
Please tell what I did wrong, if anything. I'm now off to the Sphinx and the Pyramids.
In closing, again, excellent work. I'll check back often to see what else you guys have dreamed up.
Live long and prosper, take care and thank you kindly!!
Sincerely yours always,
Indy.
