hello, im a new guy here and i'm from the holyland, also called israel.
firstly, i know there are some restrictions about viewing the territories of israel in high resolution , but i have heard in our national T.V that these restrictions are related to some top secret/strategic institutions such as : Dimona nuclear reactor,Israeli air force bases, IDF bases the biological&chmical institution in NES TZIONA and more examples like those.
but when i tried to locate my house, somewhere in southern israel, I observed that also my little town is under restrictions and after short tour of israel I noticed that all of Israel is blurred.
why is that? is my home is a strategic area? is my dog is a security risk?
:spin:

Yes that's quite unusual, I don't know why they would not have hi-res for that whole country?

I have been updated that there is a written law in the USA justice courts system which forbids to show Israel in high res.
:whoa: too bad :/
now i can;t see my house through a bird view :spin:

It could be because in the 70's we had daily SR-71 missions over Isreal to take reconissence photos :whoa:

and what exactly do you want to say by that?
that u managed to take pictures of Israel? then, well done dude!!
but hey, 70's is far far away. I want to see you taking pics of israel 2day!
BTW,i would like to add my opinion. As I see it, nowadays when there is a freedom of media and an autostrade of information, i don't think that a sattellite photo should be considered a security risk. because if someone wants to know something-he will know it! if he can't get picture of Dimona nuclear reactor through GE , then he will try alternatives ways to reach this pic/info. ironically, he can just came to israel and take picture of the reactor!!
and i'm sure that our enemies (and we have much of these fellows) do not use GE :) therefore, why not to show israel in high res?

What I was saying is that in the 70's, the US was able to read every license plate and street sign with these photos, maybe we don't want other countries to see what we did, only newer data, or because suicide bombers can plan attacks a lot easier this way, your government might not want that to happen ;)
and yes, Israel's enemies can probably use a computer better than most of us here, they do need to be intelligent to do those things
