Welcome to GEH dunc. You are almost there. What you posted was the inside of a .kml file, not the kml file itself. You are real close.
Create your placemark, then right click on it and choose "Save As." Then when you make a post, attach the kml file you saved.
I put your information into a kml file, your placemark is in the right place, but you are 335 miles above the earth. See the attached file.

Now look what happens when I zoom in, rotate the earth, and apply some tilt. Then click on the little red car - you are now famous dunc

congradulations!
:whoa: thats just the coolest thing ive seen , thanks a bunch!
tell ya what tho, friend at work told me about google earth, thought he was winding me up. then spent the next week glued to my pc finding loadsa stuff with the help of maps and other things. put it this way, i found about 25 race tracks for a start. then found 'google earth hacks' n their all there for me, already found!!
gotta say tho, theres still a lot of satisfaction when ya find it yourself.
once again, many thanks, thats just made my day!!

Dunc will become more famous, because he found something, that I didn't and I live only 150 miles away.
But it's not a race track.
now that makes sense, nice one aximaxi
dam it!! i wasnt the first to find this, its in the race track/test track list already, just found it.
well, it was good while it lasted >_<
