Has anyone experienced Google "pixilating" certain areas? I just noticed these 2 areas that someone looks to have "smudged" the high res image. This area was just recently updated by Google with new hi rez shots(1-2 weeks) Could this be a sign that Google is being "security minded". Also check out the Tappan Zee Bridge on the Hudson River. Same thing there.

HMMMMM.....

I don't see anything pixilated...
Try to empty your cache and try it again

There is a definitely a 'smudge' on the playland file - it looks like somebody used Photoshop's watercolor filter on it. Download the playland file. Zoom in until you are at 800 feet altitude. Go left 150 meters and compare.

Same thing with the airport, try looking from 1,200 feet high.

Whatever it is, this was done intentionally. Nice find bighair - welcome to GEH.

This may be a bit more obvious example of what you're talking about. Soesterberg Air Base, the Netherlands.

I had read elsewhere that the queen's palace in Soestdijk is pixelated, but it's low-res anyway. I had also read elsewhere that some buildings in Den Haag were pixelated but I can't find them.

edited to add: I found the thread: http://www.googleearthhacks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6616

It was the queen's home in Den Haag, not Soestdijk.
