Hi,
I'm from the Google Earth Community forum. If anyone has been there, you may have viewed my website. I was wondering if I could use the glitches that everyone has found on my website. I won't link directly to the downloads. I'll just leave the coordinates on the picture to post on my website. Is this allowed?

Thanks!

Good Morning AmericanXplorer13!

Answering your question is really above my pay grade. I was hoping someone else would give a definite answer. But it has been over 48 hours now, it would be inconsiderate to continue to ignore a distinguished guest from that 'other' Google Earth forum ;)

Man, it is hard to determine copyright and usage information for kml and kmz files. People here on GEH have stolen files from your forum ( http://bbs.keyhole.com/ ) and posted them here as their own; and people on your forum have taken files from here and posted them as their own.

(BTW, a Google Search for "Google Earth" currently has GEH two spots higher than keyhole)

I went to your Google Earth Fun Website (http://www.googleearthfun.net/) - it looks nice. Your basic tutorial page ( http://www.googleearthfun.net/id5.html ) seems to be missing a few steps, but hey...

So - since nobody else will answer your query, feel free to do anything you want with the files here. Please credit the authors, at least. What would be really great is if you pointed people back to GEH from your website, but that is up to you.

And for what it's worth, the glitches are some of my favorite files to download and look at. My favorite has to be the crazy road below Glen Canyon Dam in northern Arizona.

My thoughts exactly. :)

Thank you both. I will add different glitches to my website. Thanks for letting me use them. As for my website... I havn't really got to working on the Tutorials page. I just started my website about a month ago. My old website, googleearthdownload.tripod.com had almost everything that had to go with Google Earth. If you go to that home page, you will be redirected to my new website. If you go to googleearthdownload.tripod.com/id3.html, you can freely view the website from there. It might be a little messey... :slant: Thanks again!

Hi Appletom.

There is nothing strange about this road you mention. It's just a steel bridge as you can see if you look closely.

I have even found a photo of it.

By the way, the dam is the Glen Canyon Dam in Arizona. :)
