1. Bagger 288: Denial Reason: Image in file isn't working -- Delete File
Actually..in my file, the image works perfectly. So what am I supposed to do? Delete the file, and resubmit it? There's nothing wrong with it.
2. Weird Lights: Denial Reason: I would put this into the forum,It would get more response. -- Delete File
No comment. Fine. If I can't post it under "strange map quirks" because it gets denied, I'll post it here and see if I get more "response" (more than 21 files for an unapproved, 17 day old file).
Thats like some other files which apparently didn't work for some other people in which pictures were sliced in half. Mine look fine. I can post screenshots if you want.

Hi Spiderx22. I had the same problem with a file about the city of Plovdiv in Bulgaria. I have called it "City of Plovdiv" with a mark of the famous amphitheater and some interesting facts too.
But it was denied because of a wrong headline. I don't understand it at all, just like you.

Bagger 288 has been approved.
Weird lights (IMHO) should have been approved, I don't know which mod had that file.
Spider - I reloaded GEarth and no longer have the half image problem.
Now - let's discuss why a file might or might not be approved. A great example would be Spider's Airplane Home (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile17520/Airplane-Home.htm) file. It should have been denied as a duplicate - look at IHEA's file (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile7492/AIRPLANEHOME.htm) - but Spider's file was better, it included a great photograph in the kmz file - so I have no problem approving it. But some other mod might have denied it - neither of us would be wrong in whichever choice we took.
But that doesn't explain why Slady's file was denied - I haven't got a clue. Please submit it again and I will look at it.
And - mods are human. We make mistakes. A couple of months ago I denied Bob's file when I meant to deny John's file. John's was approved for awhile until I deleted it, but Bob never resubmitted his file, even though I PM'd him a few times.
And - again - every member of GEH needs to be thanking Captain Hornblower and McMaster De - they have approved more files than all the other mods combined (not counting araT, who seems to have gone AWOL from GEH, she did a LOT of admin work)
Currently out of 12 mods, only four are active on file approvals. The aforementioned Captain and McMaster, plus myself and GEH4EVR. To give you an idea of how hard Captain and McMaster are working, Captain has approved 239 files in the past month. McMaster has approved 198. I've done 75 (and over half of those were today) and GEH has done 26.
And Captain is the all time leader by far. That one man alone has approved 3,489 out of 12,663 files - that means he has done over 27% of all the files!
Without Captain and McMaster, the backlog would be reaching a thousand files about now. Currently the backlog is 'only' 184. Thanks guys.

Alrighty..thanks.
Thats crazy..you people really work so hard for this site. And I tried searching for Airplane Home..had absolutely no idea it already existed. Often times hard to see if files exist already, due to weird names or such. I try relatively hard, but I'm pretty sure one of my files already exists, saw it afterwards.

I can tell you. You name placemark after the city (we actually don't allow landmarking a city) and in the description in the last half of the last sentence you mentioned the theater, but placemark points only to the theater. So rename the placemark like "amphi-theater in Plovdiv" and it would be ok.
