I found these on the bbs.keyhole.com site and figured that they could be useful for the teachers among us:
World Countries as Polygons (http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php/Cat/0/Number/42988/page/vc) with among others links to the CIA World Factbook.
US State Capitals (http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php/Cat/0/Number/49193/page/vc/vc/1) The information includes the state's: nickname, capital, largest city, 2000 Census population, and when it entered the Union.
"Capitals" of the World (http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=EarthGiants&Number=24675&Searchpage=1&Main=24675&Words=capitals&topic=&Search=true#Post24675) all of the places in the US, and probably worldwide, that have a "claim to fame," such as the "Bratwurst Capital of the World."
African Capitals (http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=EarthTourism&Number=51176&Searchpage=1&Main=51176&Words=capitals&topic=&Search=true#Post51176) This file contains the capitals of all African countries.
Examples of classroom use (http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php/Cat/0/Number/43117/an/0/page/0#43117) was put together to demonstrate the functunality to teachers.
Columbus first journey (http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php/Cat/0/Number/54706/page/0) an EarthQuest in Dutch language for the primary school.
Good luck,
Stadsman
