I have an MPG4 video file, and I'm trying to burn it to a disc to view in a DVD player. I have a DVD-R/RW burner and the file is onl 280mb so it will fit on any disc. I just need to know if I really need to use a DVD-R or if I can cheat by using another disc. :confused:

If you have Nero, you can use Vision Express to create a SVCD just load your MPG into it and let it rip. Most modern DVD players can read burned SVCDs.

I think you could re-do the file in to Divx as most dvd players play this format now
