I am pleased to see that the responses show that small town / village is still alive. I chose village as we are not incorporated. In other words no mayor, police (sheriff responds to calls). We have a volunteer fire department. I am 15 miles from most places to shop, though we do have 3 "small" markets within a couple of miles. Long live rural life.
