Has anyone ever heard about (or thought about making) a Google Earth screensaver?

I know that a screensaver was once made for NASA's WorldWind, and I thought it might be possible to make something similar for GE.

Imagine a screensaver that starts GE, and then slowly zooms in on (or "flies to") various places. They could be random or taken from a list of predefined places. How hard can it be? If I had the time I would give it a try. Too bad I haven't.

Surely, someone must have thought about this...?

Hmm... I take that as a no. Noone has ever thought of such a thing and noone has ever heard about such a thing before

Am I in the wrong forum? Please let me know if there is a more appropriate place for this discussion.

You could turn GE to full-screen and play a tour, so it will fly to and zoom in on all your placemarks. The result would be the same, but I guess you would have to turn it on yourself, and it goes through the placemarks in a set order.
Maybe someone could write a simple script or program to do this automatically?

It's a cool idea though...

Try using Google Screen saver, I do, it's downloadable in the Google Pack on thier site. It just plays pictures, and you can set it to choose pics from a certain folder, maybe it's a start ;)
