How long does it take you to update files? I uploaded all of these:
Government Property Bounderies:

There are currently 92 files awaiting approval. Please remember that the mods do this on their own time, with no compensation except for the occasional "Thank You" that pops up on these boards.
And it takes about three minutes to approve each file. So those 92 files represent almost five hours of someone's valuable time. We try to approve files in the order they come in. The oldest of the 92 was submitted on June 11, yours were submitted just yesterday - I imagine you will see them this weekend.
AND - Captain Hornblower and McMaster_de pull the lion's share of the work, everybody who enjoys the files have those two, plus araT, to thank more than all the other mods combined. araT is the second most prolific approver, however she spends most of her time nowadays in the GEWar forums. But without her in the early days this site might not have ever taken off.
And our three newest mods are doing a pretty darn good job of assisting with approvals - GEH4EVR, SpiderX22, and BradG7 have been a great help in keeping the file approval backlog manageable.
Last but not least is Gandolf, he has been assisting quite a bit over the past 30 days.
As for the rest of the mods? Beezer, Steeefan, and grav8e have all approved a good number of files - between them they account for over 1,600 approvals.
As for me? I'm kind of at the bottom, approving fewer files than any other mod. It is the wonderful people listed above who deserve your thanks for their extremely hard work. As of right now, there are 13,528 files available on this site. At three minutes per file, that means about 700 hours have been put in on behalf of the members at GEH.
As a member of the GEH community, I say "Thank You" to all the mods - this site would not exist in its current state without them. As a moderator, I want to thank the many great (and a few not-so-great ;) ) members here on GEH - we wouldn't exist at all without you!

If it does indeed take that long, then the files should be available with a note saying "Not Verified". There are some things like Current Events, that makes no sense to have to wait that long to see posted.
But of course this is my opine...

Please try to keep in mind that us mods do have lives outside of GEH ;)
And files are available, go to the unapproved files section.
@Appletom: I think of al the active mods, I have the fewest.

There are some things like Current Events, that makes no sense to have to wait that long to see posted.Your opine is absolutely correct. There are two things you should do in this situation:
1 - Upload the file as usual, but create a post on the boards saying that you have uploaded a file that is of a current nature, and give the link.
2 - Drop a PM to a mod. GEH4EVR, SpiderX22, and BradG7 are probably the best to hit, they seem to spend the most time here. This way a mod can go to the bottom of the list and approve a file out of order. BUT - don't try this if your file isn't of a current nature, it won't be approved any faster and the next time you make such a request it might/will be ignored.

Zothip.... I have a suggestion that may help. If you know you have a lot of related files to upload... like the govenment land ones... why not put them together in a folder and name it according to category.. this one could have been Government lands over 40 acres....Then there is only one file to approve.

They would crash the fastest computers made if I did that. The National Forest one is 2 meg.

They are available, look here (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/downloads/unapproved.php).

Then post it in the forum. It will be seen more instantly there than in the database, where it will be outdated soon anyway.

Can I post a file like this (see below) in the forums or is it concidered self-advertising?
Just asking :)

Also, I've been having difficulty approving files recently, especially now that finals are next week and that my computer barel works.

You can post it here, but don't post it here AND in the database (or ask the community to download your files).
It doesn't make a lot sense to upload news-files in the database.

OK, so I will just post it in the forums, you can delete the one in the database.
Thanks
