Help !

Could you guys help me find some info about this meteor crater/hole plz?
It's in east Turkey on the border of Iran near Gurbulak/Dogubayazit.
The crater is 35 meters in diameter and 60 meters deep.
One site I've found says the meteor fell in 1892, other says 1920?
Any solid info would be great..

I have just about same info may be a bit more.
But nothing solid.
There is nothing from a solid authority.
Rex only mentions it. Good pictures though.
Look at the attachment; the metal sign on the other side of the crater.
It says: "This hole was made by a meteor fell in 1920. After the one in Alaska (I think they mean Arizona) it is the second largest in the world. It is 60 meters deep and 35 meters wide."
See, even the sign post next to the crater is wrong.

Try going to a local library in the area, or possiblya university library will help you. Ask for somebody who can aid in your search for something. Check archives, and or science jounals.

Also, I believe SpiderX22 has a file that lists all impacts since 1900??? That could help? :slant:
