Google Earth 3 or 4?

Do you prefer the older Google Earth 3 or the newer Google Earth 4. Consider everything, including layout of options.

I prefer GE3.
First off, you could simply click ctrl + s to save a screenshot. Now I have to click ctrl + alt + s, which overlaps with HP Pavillion Support Information, which overrides GE4, meaning I cant use a hotkey to save images. I now have to go look for it on the menu.

Second, network links take ages to initiate. Previously, you could deactivate the network link, then when over your area, click it again and it would automatically update. For example, the GEH network link (for 100 newest files) takes not 5 seconds to begin, but more like 10.

The layout I dislike. You cannot remove the "search" option in the sidebar, and I prefered the old style, because it was easier to use. The entire thing in the top right corner is useless if you have a middle click, because if you middle click, it allows you to rotate and tilt. You can also zoom in/out with scroll wheel.

I prefer GE4 - its design is better, and its performance on my old and slow computer, it runs fast and smooth unlike #3...

Only problem is I can't view overlays.

I am still using GE3, so I am interested in what you mean "can't view overlays". Could you please explain that to me?

I can't view overlays with GE4, I have no idea why...

GE3 for me. I just don't like GE4(BETA)

Much more space.
Smoother movement (Illusion maybe)
Measure tool button (But still "Miles" is default despite of language)

Just want a separate main level checkbox for that useless "Confluence Placemarks"!

I prefer using GE4 because it's in french and it's better and easier for me !! ;) ;)
But when I downloaded it, I didn't succeed in removing the trick which was at the top on the right screen !!

I know what you mean stefan, my GE3 version wouldn't view them either, and sometimes Beta 4 doesn't even see themm, just lines with spaces between, right?
By the way, I liked GE3 better ;)

By the way it turns out that all mods prefer GE3 and everyone else prefers GE4. Strange..

Maybe because we make screen shots with the compass in them for files on GE4 :slant:

GE4 for me. because all the roads/buildings stuff has been moved away from the bottom, youve got a bigger viewing space, and if i drag and enlarge the viewing window to the left, its a big improvement.
