Hi all,
just wondered if anyone would be able to help me with a mini project of mine?

i'm currently trying to create a 3D version of my hometown using google sketch-up, been working on it for about 3 months now and i'm pleased to say nearly finished (it's a small town)! All the buildings have been textured and look as real as i can possibly get them to!
However, i was wondering if anyone knew how to upload the models onto the International version of GE4 without having to upload it into the GE warehouse so that when people download the latest version, my models appear.
As i understand it so far, i will require Googles permission to do this, and also there is some sort of charge???
Please contact me with any info you have about how i could achieve this. thankyou!
P.S. - if anyone would like a 3D version of their hometown creating, then i am open to offers ;-)

Well Google would have to upload it to there servers, however I am not sure Google would be as interested as you are in your hometown. You could contact Google on this (http://earth.google.com/support/bin/request.py) page if you want but your best bet is putting it on 3D Warehouse.

The idea wasn't specifically for my hometown, but for any town or city in the UK, in-which i could waste my life creating!

Thanks for the contact page, they haven't replied yet tho :(

I would think if you did your town, Google might consider it if you continued doing towns every month, they might add all of them as a layer in the next version of GE :slant:
