I have a series of photos, well I have thousands of them really, and I was wondering if it is possible to add a snapshot to a particular palce in effect enabling GE to be used as a sort of document management system. Help please.

Well you could create a Placemark somewhere on the earth and then link a picture of the photo from the internet(you would have to host the image on a website).

Anyone else have any ideas?

Do you want to place the Photos on the place on earth they were taken? Try to use picture-overlays.
If there is more than one pic taken at the same place it would be more useful to set a placemark and add a link to the photos you want to be shown on that place.

I don´t think that would be necessary. Just enter this
<im* src="your drive:\your picture">
in the "Description-Area" of your placemark. Of course will have to set a "g" for the "*".
