The fire hydrant is 39 ft. tall, a nearly five ton steel sculpture set in a concrete base. <br />

Actually, the hydrant is aluminum, not steel.

Also, although he is credited with this sculpture, Sky's involvement in it was marginal at best. Even the concept was only partially his, and was based on the work of the welded-aluminum sculptor residing in Columbia who designed and directed the fabrication of the hydrant and with whom Sky agreed to share credit prior to the start of the project. However, when issues concerning payment erupted, Sky (with the blessing of AgFirst Bank, which funded the piece and on whose property the sculpture rests) destroyed the signature plate and ground the sculpture nameplate off of the large front nozzle.

Blue Sky has since moved to California, siting a poor creative atmosphere in Columbia. The welded-aluminum sculptor still makes his home in Columbia.
