Why?

When our city was included in the hi res pictures last june,the pics,(our own home area) were more recent,however the pics of the same area available now belong to at least a year before the first ones.

Aren't images supposed to be updated rather than outdated?
This I could tell by a new flyover bridge which is under constructions,creating a good standard for time lapse.

Well, smetimes, Google feels that the older data is clearer than the newer data.

There was a major update to the UK data earlier this year and the images for Cambridge were suddenly a year older and less clear than before. The area immediately around the city didn't change, only Cambridge itself. I've never understood why.
