This is a discussion thread for the following file:

Central TX Turnpike System

This file outlines some new freeways around Austin, Tx, some of which will begin opening in a couple months (if I did it right -- this is my first thing like this). I had a little trouble lining things up, but please let me know what you think of it. Thanks.

They sure can't draw a straight line, can they?

Well, it's not an engineering map, so I guess they did an okay job with it. At work I have access to all the maps on the 130 project and considered making overlays out of them, but it was going to be much more difficult than I'd thought.

We live about two miles east of this new Hwy and have been looking for a map overview like yours for about two years. The State does not provide one, that is for sure. We apprecaite your work. Thanks!

...with anything you need. But call the contractor (LSI) at 681-6000 and ask for the public relations department. They may be faster.

I'm glad you found this useful.

I've got some Austin files which I'll upload once election day has passed (Ted Ankrum for TX Congressional 10!), but are you aware of an Austin GE group that meets? It'd be nice to talk in person with some folks in Austin who are using GE. Regards, Mike
