This is a discussion thread for the following file:<br><br><b><a href=http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile21809/Sudbury-River-Face.htm>Sudbury River Face</a></b><br><br>I think that the Sudbury River here in Wayland Massachusetts forms a pretty obvious face. He even has an eye complete with an abandoned Nike missile base for a brow! Do you see it?<br />
This part of the Sudbury-Concord-Assabet river was the playground of 19th century illuminaries Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau. Many of their writings are directly associated with this small stretch of the river which is also known as &quot;musketaquid&quot;.<br />
<br />
Just to the North is Walden Pond. If you follow the river further North, just past the spit,(egg rock) That is the sight of Old North Bridge and the &quot;shot heard round the world&quot;(1775). This stretch of the river also hosted a major battle in King Philips War(1675). <br><br><img src=http://www.googleearthhacks.com/images/new/080505/201631ADMIN.jpg>

Did you know the zip code for Sudbury is 01776?

That's the coolest zip code ever (if you know what happened in 1776).

Blacksun- Yeah, I think it looks like something from the Simpsons, too. Very strange.(the french guy that hit on marge?)

Spiderx22- Good to hear from a fellow Bay-stater. I live IN the face! Weird coincidence. Was looking at my house, zoomed out and there it was! And it is no coincidence that Sudbury is 01776. More Minutemen came from there (Sudbury also encompassed Wayland) than any other town, even Lexington or Concord. But that was a long time ago and the area is all rich yuppies now...Oh well.
