wierd-assed lights over my hometown,Dunblane-Scotland, does anyone know what they are?

I think it's just a camera bug, I found more of them near where I live in Surrey.

Hi therussian and welcome to GEH.
What you see are flares from sunlight hitting windows on roofs or metal roofs. You can see them everywhere on GE.

Please refer my post for other thread which is reproduced below.

It appears to be white saturation due to sun glint .. Note that they all start at the roof top edge (slanting side of the trainagular roof ) which is pointed towards sun. The edgde also shows a sort of refractions resulting in colur seperated bands. The saturately charged sensor does not dischrge quickly ( continues to remain in charge for some time even though the bright object on the ground is passed over ) resulting in a bright streak like patch .

There are several such reflections but all are in the same direction.
