This is a discussion thread for the following file:<br><br><b><a href=http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile3496/Lots-of-Fish,-USA.htm>Lots of Fish, USA</a></b><br><br>Unbelievable!<br><br><img src=http://www.googleearthhacks.com/images/new/080505/467634fish.jpg>
really :-) what do u think?
Well you originaly said they were whales, and I had noticed another pack just east of there.. there seem to be well over 500 animals.. I've never heard of sharks or whales in schools of 500, so I imagine they are some kind of large fish.. though I'm not sure... also they are too skinny to be whales.. if anyone is willing to shed some light on these USO's (unidentified swimming objects) I'll be more than happy to update the file information!
What big fish are there around the gulf of mexico? I'm not into fishing, and I'm all the way down under.. so I have no idea about species around there. http://www.googleearthhacks.com/forums/images/icons/icon6.gif

One of the animals is ~25m long....
I prefer the whale-theory.

me too.
I don't think it is mammals.
Open the attached file.
At placemark 1 one measures 50 meters long - that a VERY long animal.
At placemark 2, one is 5 meters wide - simply too big to be animals.
Zoom in at app. 800ft. and notice that all "animals" point in the same direction - all have a similar shape as... well yes semen.
My theory: I think it is banks of sand - shaped by a current going east.
Whatever it is, I think it is the same thing as what is placed at placemark 3.

I have seen theses lines a lot while flying over the Gulf of Mexico. The brownish seaweed will follow currents in large vats or lines. It is an interesting photo though!

so maybe there are even more of those alien fish :-)

i agree with that theory beacus most of them are to skinny to be whales and to big to be fish

Check this link, where there is a klm to a place close by where these things are above water. On answer sais it's kelp, another that it's sand banks.
