Line bearing

The measure tool gives the length of a line. Is there any way to get the bearing of that line without doing some mathematics?

Use Alt-Shift-Arrow key to rotate the view until the line is pointing straight up. Add a placemark and in the placemark edit window click on advanced and then the view tab to see the heading.

I tried every "arrow" key on my keyboard (German keyboard) and nothing happned! Any suggestions? Thanks.
