I wonder why there is a C-130 Hercules in Beijing?

Lockheed has sold a crapload of 130's to just about everyone. When I worked there, even Iran was a customer.

This airplane is almost definitely landing.

First, even small airplanes usually land near the beginning of the runway (although on occasion they will land halfway down it).

Second, the large white marks on the runway under the plane are the 1000 ft markers (from the beginning of the runway). It appears that the airplane is at least slightly airborne. While a C-130 can get airborne within 1000 feet, it is not a normal practice.
