In google earth, type in Guam. as you zoom in stay at the Northern end of the island. You can find the naval bas with the USS Frank Cable and a sub tied along side. GHo across the harbor and you will see the USS San Francisco in dry dock. This is the Sub that hit an underwater mountain and made it back to Guam safely. To see closer pictures of the damage type in USS San Fransico in images in yahoo.
I was suprised to see these photos. I was stationed in Guam and and was there when tis happened. the security was tight....

I have two questions:
1. Where is this thing supposed to be?
2. What is this?\/

GE is using the lowest resolution for Yona ( same as for general sea areas ).

When all the other neighboring ares have a good resolution why should only this small area be spared?

By the way what is this ?

SSSALVI that is a landfill. (garbage dump). Zoom right in on the south east corner and you can see where the garbage has been dumped and the bulldozers waiting to push it in the pit.

It's not really anything. That's just an empty spot that the tiles around haven't covered. They'll fill it in when a satellite eventually has a good quality non-cloudy picture of it. It's got the slanted shape because the tiles to the north are at an angle.
