no, I don't beleive it is a gas bubble. probaly just a regular wave pattern since this placemark IS located in the ocean.

Gas bubbles are possible in the ocean, but I don't know where they are possible and where not. An oil rig capsized and sunk due to a giant methane bubble a few years ago somewhere.
The waves on the ocean are caused by the wind and is therefore in linear wavefronts, not circular. There must be a singular reason.

yes,I know gas bubbles are possible in the ocean. Do you remember the tsunami that happened a few years ago though? this could probaly be the start of an underwater earthquake which can cause tsunamis. (which the last one was caused by)

Here I found an underwater crater. This supports the thesis of the methane gas bubbles in this area.

Methan Gas is suspected to be the bad guy in the Bermuda Triangle, so maybe?
But I wouldn't say it's impossible that the waves are shaped by a local wind.
