It's sort of out in the boonies in Connecticut and I don't notice any parking lots about.

It looks more like it's amongst bunkers than houses.

Also, what's the crescent shaped thingie just below and to the left?

It's a parking lot. There's a building at the NE end of the arc. From what I can tell it's part of the University of CT or offices related to the nearby Health Center.

The configuration to the left of Munson Rd.

Is it underground parking or something?

At first I thought it was a drive-thru bank.

Seems a long way off for parking.
