Lattico have been working on UK city models and experimenting with GE. The .kmz file is quite slow loading because of the heavy detail, so could take up to 5 mins to load.

It looks really good, I live there so you can imagine what it's like to see your home town in 3d. But be warned people, that file is HUUUUUGE! I only have a 2.4gb processor and 512mb RAM and the cpu and memory usage went through the roof. Think I'll view it on my work machine, it might cope a bit better.

That is only part of the Cambridge model, but this was purely experimental... they're working on components etc to keep the model as light as possible. They've been modelling other UK cities, so I'm sure there will be more in the future. :D
