The Ark is described as 300 cubits long. Thats approximately 133 - 137 meters. What we see in the placemarker is 1000 meters long. :p

But how could you fit 2 of every species on an ark only 137 meters long? I suppose they wouldn't have needed to take the birds and fishes along, or the flying insects, but even so.... I think you'd need a bigger ark than that just for the mammals alone. They must have gotten the length wrong. Or maybe they were measuring with an older cubit, that was larger than the cubit of today. ;)

The Bible is no book of history... Look at Genesis 5,1-32; I am pretty sure, those people were not some hundred years old.

Actually, I think it's talking about his "legacy" or offspring, the family "name" If I have a son, and he has a son, I live that long....um, anyway.....oh look a flock of turtles :spin:
