After the Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania has become high-res I was trying to find the ancient footprints, Mary Leaky found in 1976. After a little googleing I made these placemarks and I would be happy if someone could confirm it, so that I can post them to the community...

thx

The Plio-Pleistocene site of Laetoli in Tanzania is famous for its hominid footprints, preserved in volcanic ash (Site G). The site of the Laetoli footprints is located 45 km south of Olduvai gorge. The foot
prints were actually found in 1978 by Mary Leaky, Richard Hay, and Tim White and their team, is preserved in powdery volcanic ash from an eruption of the 20 km distant Sadiman Volcano.

These fact are from : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laetoli#The_footprints

Zebras and wilderbeests for sure. You can see the herd all over that place - wonderfull. And after some safaris in that area, whenever there are more than two Landrovers/-cruisers, there must be some predators also... :teeth:

But lions will be difficult to spot, their camo is perfect in the dry season...
