View Full Version : Keep track of armies spent on which cities

It would be useful to keep track of statistics, both for users (confidential information for them alone), as well as collectively. For example, I might like to know how many armies I spent defending a particular city over a period of a few weeks. It might be useful to break it down by date, as well as giving totals. Then for everyone, summary statistics could be given -- how many players spent how many armies fighting over which cities, and so forth.

How about this, in view of the prospect of alliances and such -- statistic sharing. These would be "shared intelligence." Furthermore, there could be intrigue -- shared statistics, but where parties might be acting as double agents for a third party, merely sharing stats to gain knowledge about another person's strategy.

With that in mind, a mechanism for treaties might be handy -- something that would enforce mutual defense pacts and the like. Something to build trust against the prospect of intrigue. For example, if three parties could negotiate terms and codify them in a treaty, to the effect that (e.g.) "If any city you possess with more than 12 armies is attacked, we will counter-attack the aggressor's holdings" -- something like that. With those counterattacks possibly being automated, enforcing the terms of the treaty.

The possible features for this thing are endless. Geez.

The stats part has been added to the to-do list. The other items will probably have to wait for quite a while...
