The laboratory was formed in 1962 as part of the National Institute for Research in Nuclear Science (NIRNS) and has progressively diversified its activities to meet new research challenges. I used to do a fair bit of work there. Mmm Beamline 14.1.

I'm wondering where the main ring is, though: That ring does not look big enough to accommodate the ring and beams, although the big grey building looks like the main hall.
