A nice find and overlay. Although I am not religious I found it very interesting what the german wikipedia says about it:

Surprisingly the pope Benedikt replaced the Papal Tiara (the cap over the keys) by a simple Mitre, although the Tiara was there for many centuries.

I know the reason.:)
