Default Why cant I install Google Earth anymore?

Hi. I recently installed Windows Vista on my PC and ever since haven't been able to reinstall Google Earth.

I keep getting the following message, This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

I have no idea what the problem is, anybody else ever came across it and if so, how did you sort it?

NoobisMaximus, huh? Now that's a descriptive user name. Welcome to GEH.

This post on the Google Earth Blog says that Google released version 4.0.2742 "primarily to address some issues with Windows Vista."

What version are you trying to install?

you should just dump vista in the garbage. I tried it out for a while and in my opinion it's the worst OS that they could have ever made. I"ll stick with XP and Mac os X.
