We're very happy to announce the launch of GEboards, the first fully in-Earth message board.

This has been an idea in my mind for about two years, but wasn't possible until the release of Google Earth version 4.2, which allows Flash inside of the description bubbles. Using that Flash interface, you can now create threads and respond to other posts without ever leaving Google Earth.

You can talk about the awful service you got at the restaurant down the street, or talk about the great game you saw at the stadium yesterday. If it has a location, you can talk about it!

Your posts can help others out, too. For example, if someone is new to your area and looking for a place to eat, your comments on the various restaurants around town can help them pick the right one.

Full details can be found on the main GEboards page. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here.

Have fun!
