    Default Mysterious Shadow discussion

This is a discussion thread for the following file:

    Mysterious Shadow

This definitely looks like a plane's shadow, but I can't find the plane.

Just a guess, but maybe you can't see the plane because you "sit in it"; I mean it's the shadow of the plane taking the pics

I hadn't actually thought of that. I was thinking it might be located in a different imagery: there's an imagery line off to the right, but it seemed a bit far away. Are these pictures actually aerial?

Considering Logan International's runway 27 is just 2.2 miles away and pretty well lined up with the shadow, I would guess it's a shadow of a just departed jet.

I'm going to guess that's not a shadow. But instead, someone "erased" the image of the aircraft from the aerial photograph. Just a guess.

Maybe they did. Or maybe the shadow is real and they removed the aircraft. I don't see many other aircraft in flight around the airport. The shadow looks to big to be from a small aircraft that would be used for taking the aerials.

How small are are the planes teleatlas is using for aerials?

Probably the origin aircraft is on "another" picture that wasn't used, but the pic with the shadow was. Something like the opposite of the pics where the same aircraft can be seen three time (near Frankfurt Intl.).

That's also entirely possible.....I guess we'll never know for sure.
