    Default Extracting Coordinates into Excel

    Hi all,

Is there any way to tag coordinates on a GE map with mouse clicks and have them extracted to a data program like excel? I have a image overlay which has several polygons covering certain areas, and I'd like to get the coordinates for those polygons somehow put into excel, hopefully an easier way than copying them down from the bottom left of the screen.

I had to do the same thing and the best way I found was to put placemarks at the points, then save a kml file containing theses placemarks. When you open the kml file (with Notepad++ for example), you have your coordinates in the file. You must copy and paste it, but at least, you don't have to type the digits (no typing errors).
