Google Earth Gallery - A Layer by Layer Lookthrough: Gigapixl Photos
As my first sublayer to look through in the "Gallery" layer of Google Earth, we shall look at the "Gigapixl Photos" layer.
These are images that are incredibly detailed, that you can zoom into...alot.
According to their website:
It would take a video wall of 10,000 television screens or 600 prints from a professional digital SLR camera to capture as much information as that contained in a single Gigapxl™ exposure.
I've selected my favorite ten:
Fifi, the Last Flying B-29
Spoonbills & Egrets
San Diego Night
SpaceShipOne & White Knight
Sue, the Tyrannosaurus Rex
Space Shuttle Discovery
Rio Grande Gorge Bridge
White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad
East and West Mittens
