    Default Street view goes off-road

Today's Daily Telegraph [UK] has a story about Streetview going off-road on tricycles at such places as Stonehenge.

What next? Views from the top of mountains?

We have allready found some in the USA, just take a look.

Here it's caught on camera in Rome and Genua, Italy:

Right now they are tourin Germany and because of many old city centers they'll use tricycles.

But your'e right, StreetView has been in the mountains during Tour de France 2008. Here it has been placed on a tractor.

So only imaginations sets a limit. Next could be on boats in Venice, Italy.

Thank you for the links. very interesting.

Incidentally, we have one of the camera cars parked across the road from our home in south London. It seems to spend more of the time parked than on the road.

    Regards

    John

That's interesting. Maybe we can see it on StreetView.

It would be nice if you would give us a coordinate where it is.

It does not show on Streetview although my street does.

I am not sure I want to make my street locale available to all and sundry.

I have a picture of it but I don't know how to attach it to a forum posting.
