Thread: do GE-links exist ?

  1. #1

    Question do GE-links exist ?

Hi folks. Is there something like GE-links?

In the same fashion as clicking http://www.someURL.com.. leads you to a website and clicking on mailto:...@gmail.com creates a new e-mail to specified user, I was hoping there would somehting like:

    flyto:latitude/longitude
This would open GoogleEarth and make it fly to the specified location.

    Does this exist?
It's because I want to store these links in my address book, so that I can click on this GE-link and GE flies me directly to the location .... (without having to copy/past the coordinates each time ... )

    Thank you.

PS: Please don't mention .kmz files. I'm rather talking about a protocol:URI scheme.

Would be also cool, to post those links to forums.
