    Default Bataan Airfield discussion

This is a discussion thread for the following file:

    Bataan Airfield

Bataan Airfield was a former wartime United States Army Air Forces airfield on Luzon in the Philippines. It was overrun by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Battle of the Philippines (1942). The airfield was located near the village of Lucanin, south Lamao in Bataan Provience.

    Unhappy Bataan Airfield

Disagree with the location shown. 1. Its too far from Lucanin, 2. Orientation was east west (roughly) 3. The 'facility' is too short, Bataan was 5,100 foot probably all dirt. 4 No descriptions of the fields on the peninsula indicate the Bataan strip was west of Capcaben.
