Default Map moves upward when sidebar closed.

I've just noticed that when I close the sidebar, the map moves upwards about 50 pixels. I've always assumed that it remained in exactly the same vertical position. Anyone else get this behaviour please?

    I'm using 6.0.1.2032 (beta)

Maybe it's just my screen, but mine definitely seems to move more than 50 pixels up.

I've always noticed this; pretty sure it's been in all versions to date.

Goofy Google. Removes a big chunk of the bottom too.

When you "hide" the side bar, it keeps the horizontal the same and zooms in in order to have the left to right area remain on screen without adding to it.

Note in the first picture how the red lines are at the top, bottom and left side of the view. Also note the three white buildings and intersection near the lower right corner.

Now look at picture 2. The red line from the left and the 3 white buildings are still there. But the top and bottom red lines are gone. Hiding the sidebar didn't uncover anything, it zooms in instead.

    Thanks, understood.

    What an odd approach!
