When did we (partially) lose this feature - Airport Location using IATA Codes?
While helping figure out the icon issue in this thread, I noticed that I can no longer "fly" to any airport by typing in its IATA 3-letter code. If I typed "san" (San Diego) in the search box, it plopped me right down at Lindbergh Field. If I typed "phx" I was taken straight to one of the runways at Phoenix's Sky Harbor airport.
Now typing in some IATA codes takes me to odd places. SAN takes me to Sana'a, Yeman. PHX takes me to downtown Phoenix. Others like ELP (El Paso), ABQ (Albuerqurque), DFW or ATL take me to the proper airports.
But if I type in SEA for the Seattle airport, Google Earth takes me to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in Florida. Typing AUS for the Austin airport puts me about 3,500 miles above the center of Australia.
I know I was able to hit the San Diego, Austin and Seattle airports at one time. I used to fly a lot in a previous job and I often used Google Earth to look at those three airports.
Just odd behavior changes from previous versions.
