It's possible, but it might be more difficult than other changes since they'd have to lock the camera yaw and pitch values. I suspect it to be possible since they change the UI around so dramatically for Street View in GE.

Personally, I do think they will get to it eventually because it's a nice tool. If they do plan on it, I would also imagine it's not a high priority since we can use Google Maps to view it. I just hope they leave the mouse wheel to do a proper zoom and not mess it up like they did with the Street View UI.

I'd probably keep doing this even after that, though. I don't think their interface will highlight where to find the imagery from a high altitude. I would imagine when it comes, there will be a new icon that becomes active if you're zoomed in and move over an area with 45 degree imagery.

I've updated the cities in the USA so far tonight. The changes are as follows:

    USA - Brand new cities
    Midland, Texas
    Milwaukee, Wisconsin
    Shreveport, Louisiana
    Waco, Texas
    Yuma, Arizona

    USA - Expanded Regions
Albuquerque, New Mexico - to include Belen
Augusta, Georgia - to include Graniteville SC
Cape Coral, Florida - to include Fort Myers
Charleston, South Carolina - to include Summerville
Fairfield, California - to include the Air Force base
Kansas City - to include Liberty, MO (they listed the State for that incorrectly)
Huntsville, Alabama - to include Athens and Moores Mill
Jackson, Mississippi - generally expanded the coverage
Jacksonville, Florida - to include Lakeside and Middleburg
Montgomery, Alabama - to include Prattville
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - to include Yukon
Pensacola, Florida - to include Lillian, AL (they listed the State for that wrongly too)
Salt Lake City, Utah (to include Magna)
San Francisco, California - to include Livermore
Stockton, California - to include Manteca
Tacoma, Washington - to include Lakewood

I'm getting to the cities in other countries as soon as I can.
