Default Touring a Track v touring a Line?

I'm probably being dense here but can someone explain the difference between those two please?

I used the Add Path tool to draw a track following a route. In the Touring settings I was trying to change the speed under the lower section, but it had no effect. Changing the upper section did. So presumably I've made a tour from 'a line'. So how is GE defining a 'track' please?

OK, had a coffee and my head's cleared! I assume that GE defines a Track as a Path with timestamp data. Typically a GPS recording. Whereas a drawn Path has no timestamps.

Calling a Path 'a line' in Settings is confusing. My drawn Path had many lines.
