Track future in Google Earth
Hi, i just found this video on youtube:
It says its the new track future, but ive never seen such an option in GE.
Does anybody has an idea how i can achieve that?
Thanks a lot!
You have to connect a GPS to your computer. Then go to Tools menu and select GPS to enable it.
Thanks for the answer.
Unfortunately i dont have any gps device.
I managed to export an kmz file of a track, convert that one into an gpx track, import that one to GE. But there is no real playback, i can only shift the time and the "camera" isnt following the track. How can i get this working?

Did the GPX file have time stamps? If so, I think it should work. But I've never really played around with it.
Are you using the "Play Tour" button? (Found under Places and above Layers.)
The gpx file did have time stamps,i can play those back but even at the lowest speed the playback ist way to fast and the Camera isnt following the route. When i click the play button nothing is really happening.
In Google Earth:
Tools --> Options --> Touring.
Then find the Speed slider and move it. Lots of other parameters in that window that you can change around to improve tour playbacks.
its not working. Shure it works with a normal track, but then you dont have that arrow and path moving trough the landscape.
Im giving up.
If anybody has an idea how to do it please post it.
Upload your file here and let us play with it.
Thanks a lot
There is the original kmz file and the koverted gpx fil in the .rar.
alright got it finally. if you use the GE Open... tool and select gps data you can playback the tour. it doesnt work over the Tools-->import gps way
