    World's Largest Artwork

    This is Marree Man in the Australian outback. This is the largest single work of art on Earth (at over 4km in length.) It was discovered from the air in 1998 and its origin is unknown. Read more about this incredible mystery - and see a clearer image of it - at wikipedia.org

    What about the earth drawings Erich Von Daniken made such a fuss over in Chariots of the Gods? IIRC they are in Peru.

    They are indeed in Peru, they're the Nazca lines, as posted by ahay earlier in this thread. This is a particularly good set of overlays:

    I'm not sure if any of the animals are particularly big (compared to the Australian figure), some of the lines are pretty long though. Are they all considered artwork?

    i see this as a big man drawn on a hill...why hasnt it eroded away ?
