    What was this architect thinking?

    I think that this design is intended to give maximum sunlight/view with a minimum footprint. As you can see pretty much every part of the building has natural light.

    but the architect MUST have been aware of what the building will look like afterwards and ANY decent person would have thought about that building twice...
