Nice cop! GE thinks that's "Howarden Airport".

Yes that is the name for it now...! RAF Sealand closed a few years ago only in use for the ATC in thier gliders now...! Hence the reason for the removal of the gate guardian...!

Very similar situation to what happened at RAF Manston in kent now called London Manston or Kent International Airport although the RAF still use this site as their Fire Training school... I went their in 1999 on operations....!

I think it's an F4C. There is one at Lakenheath, not sure if it's this one. See http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co...vorspics1.html.
I can only make one person happy per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow isn't looking good either.

There is also a F-15 in a static display and near by stands the F-4 and a F-111.

    Look here: http://www.13atc.co.uk/html/body_brampton_03.html

Also there must be somewhere a Spitfire on a pin!

Ok, found it on the other side of the street, where the F-15 is.

    Default corrections on sealand

Sealand hasn't closed down - yet. It is due to close on 1st April 06 and is still home to at least a maintenence unit, dara, and of course 631VGS.
The gate gardian is a hawker hunter, been in place since 1990, and is still there. The link to the picture on GE of 'Sealand is actually Hawarden airport. Sealnad is slightly further over to the west on the north edge of the river dee.
