    Interesting overlay, but it needs higher definition to be able to read the depth figures; incidentally, are these in metres or fathoms.
    And, very sinister this, what were the French doing taking soundings in rosbif territorial waters? Planning a reprisal raid for Fashoda?

    BTW, i've been trying to post it in bigger res, but as the file will be heavier than 2.5Mb i won't be able to upload it :-(.

    About sounding the "Rosbif" (as you says) area, i think it was just to prepare, the return of the grand grand son of William the conquerant.
    I live at the exact place he came from to invad England in 1066 and won against the Saxon.(have a look at my GE page on my site www.ceresm.com)
