But, there is only one lake in Scotland, the Lake of Menteith, the rest are known as `Lochs`.
Loch means lake.

So Lake Menteith is the only lake in Scotland and loch means lake...
What is Loch Ness then? A lake or a loch (=lake)?

It seems that only one is actually known as a lake in Scotland, the rest are more correctly called Lochs, so calling it Loch Ness Lake is a bit of a redundancy. It's a bit pedantic but these things are important to some people.

Another pedantic point is that the word loch is not pronounced `lock`; rather the 'ch' sounds like the `ch` in the German word `achtung!`.
Just say "Och" as you clear the back of you throat.

'Scotland has only one natural water body actually called a lake, the Lake of Menteith, an Anglicisation of the Scots Laich o Menteith meaning a "low-lying bit of land in Menteith", and applied to the loch there because of the similarity of the sounds of the words laich and lake. The Lake of the Hirsel is a reservoir. Most Scots will be quick to correct anyone who refers to "lochs" as "lakes".'

So I'll retract the 'pedantic' comment on the grounds that I don't want to antagonise any Sottish people on here.

Translated to English Loch Ness Lake= Lake Ness Lake so I took "Lake of the end of the file. It's all fixed.
